Find Your Way

I have stopped trusting my own voice.

Somewhere along the way you began asking everyone. You second-guess the answer you already had, and the more certainty you look for outside, the further you drift from your own voice. You used to know things.

The truth is kinder than it feels. Self-trust was never certainty. It is not the absence of doubt. It is the willingness to move on your own read while the doubt is still there, and to stay on your own side afterward, whatever comes.

You were not born unsure. You learned it, which means it can be unlearned. Your knowing is not gone. It has only been talked over for so long that you stopped listening for it.
